Course Brief Description: This course is taught by world renown professionals teacher educators for P-12 teachers and teacher educators. The course provides professional development opportunities to engage with deeply-digital resources and digital pedagogical practices. These experiences will enable educators to better meet the needs of today’s students in face to face, blended, and remote teaching and learning settings.

Demystifying Academic Publishing 3-Course Series
Instructors: Richard Hartshorne & Richard E. Ferdig
Course Brief Description: Academic publishing is essential to identifying, documenting, and disseminating research, theory, and practice, while simultaneously serving as a mechanism to support discourse around key historical, contemporary, and future topics and issues. However, navigating this world can be daunting, particularly for new and emerging scholars. They must learn to effectively embed work in existing research, theory, and practice, while communicating meaning and implications to diverse audiences.
The purpose of these courses is to provide new and emerging scholars with guidance related to the myriad of nuances and issues related to academic publishing in diverse disciplines and venues.

Remote Teaching 101: Online & Blended Teaching during the Pandemic
October 13-24, 2021

Course Brief Description: In this self-paced, blended learning mini-course, you will have an opportunity to access materials, learn about online teaching, and discuss how to make the most of your time as you support your home-based learners.
Explore how you can engage your students, without spending every hour online, using evidence-based online and blended teaching strategies.
Online resources, live sessions, asynchronous discussions, and opportunities to meet and hear from other educators are part of this unique online experience for educators.
In this mini-course we will explore: online digital resources, basic online and blended teaching strategies, three levels of interactions teachers need to foster to support quality learning: communication, discussion, and collaboration.
Career Development Series:
LTU has assembled a series of courses and activities to enhance the career development of education professionals. While targeted for new and early-career professionals, these courses may also serve as refreshers for those seeking a new perspective in key areas of their careers.
These courses are taught by colleagues not only with expertise in their fields but whose careers have been enhanced by successful practices. Courses will be highly interactive with a personal touch. Real-world experiences and practical strategies will be stressed in LTU’s Career Development Program.

We are now accepting proposals for 1-3 week future courses.
Course Topics: Topics should be broad enough in scope to interest educators teaching with technology in all disciplines.
Topics may include but are not limited to:
Advanced learning technologies; Augmented, virtual, & mixed reality; Assessment & evaluation; Game-based learning; Geospatial learning; Learning with technology applications; Maker learning; Mobile & ubiquitous learning; Online learning strategies & environments; Open education; Robotics; STEM/STEAM; Technologies for socially responsible learning; Technology integration; and More.
Audience: Higher education faculty, graduate students, K-12 teachers, and trainers.
Compensation: Instructors and developers will receive Stipends and Royalties for accepted courses.
