National Technology Leadership Initiative Fellowships

For the past five years, the four teacher educator associations representing the core content areas of science education (AETS), mathematics education (AMTE), English education (CEE), and social studies education (CUFA) have collaborated on a series of national technology leadership initiatives with SITE. The National Technology Leadership Initiative (NTLI) fellowships were established to recognize exemplary presentations related to integration of technology in the core content areas at the annual meetings of each participating association.

The objective of the NTLI Fellowships is two-fold: (1) to recognize exemplary uses of technology in social studies, language arts, science, and mathematics teaching, and (2) to encourage cross-disciplinary discussion among innovative teacher education faculty members who have developed exemplary methods for accomplishing this. To this end, each year’s NTLI Fellows are invited to participate in a symposium at the SITE conference.

A plaque honoring this achievement is presented to each NTLI fellow at an awards luncheon held in their honor after the symposium. NTLI Fellows receive complimentary conference registration at SITE and support to defray travel expenses to allow them to participate. The fellowship recipients for the current and past years are listed below.
