Registration Information

WebNet 98 -- The World Conference of the WWW, Internet, and Intranet is an international conference, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) in cooperation with WWW/Internet businesses & industry.

This annual conference serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of information on research, development, and applications of all topics related to the Web. This encompasses the use, applications and societal and legal aspects of the Internet in its broadest sense.

WebNet 98 is a must for all who plan to use the Internet to access information, communicate or conduct transactions or, who are developing applications for the Internet and Extranet.

WebNet 98 PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

The conference will include:
* Keynotes
* Panels
* Paper Presentations
* Posters/Demonstrations
* Invited Speakers
* Tutorials
* Business/Corporate Sessions

* Exhibits

Keynote/Invited Speakers: The Conference will feature international leaders in their respective fields who will share their insights.

Tutorials: Tutorials will provide in-depth professional development opportunities in current interest areas, targeted toward specific audiences with unique needs. These sessions will provide demonstrations and discussions, and will emphasize developing new skills and professional understanding for the participant.

Papers: Papers reporting on significant work in research, development, and applications related to all aspects of the WWW will be presented and published in the conference proceedings.

Proceedings: The conference proceedings will serve as a major source book in the field and will be available in printed and electronic (CD-ROM) form.

Panels: Panels will present and discuss different aspects of a relevant issue and interact with the audience to widen the discussion.

Demonstrations/Posters: Poster and Demonstra- tion sessions will enable researchers, developers, and practitioners to demonstrate and discuss recent results and work-in-progress in a less formal, one-on-one context.

Corporate Sessions: These sessions offer opportunities to present issues, developments, and applications on training, marketing, publishing, product direction, and other business/corporate aspects of the Internet.

SIG Discussions: To encourage informal interaction among individuals with common interests, SIG discussions will be held on specific topics based upon on-site sign-up. Look for notices in the Registration area.

Exhibits: A variety of exhibits will provide participants with opportunities to discover and examine the latest products, courseware, and curriculum materials.
