WebNet Is Unique

WebNet 2000 -- World Conference on the WWW and Internet is an international conference organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) and co-sponsored by WebNet Journal - Internet Technologies, Applications & Issues.  This annual conference serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of information on research, development, and applications of all topics related to the Web. This encompasses the use, applications and societal and legal aspects of the Internet in its broadest sense. 

WebNet is an innovative collaboration between the top academic and
corporate laboratory researchers, developers, education and business professionals, and end users. All presentation proposals are reviewed and selected by a respected international Program Committee, based on merit and the perceived value for attendees.

All conference sessions including Tutorials and Workshops will be held at the Adams Mark Hotel on the Riverwalk.

TOPICS

The scope of the conference includes, but is not limited to, the following topics as they relate to the WWW and Internet. In the context below, "Web" means Internet, including the WWW, Intranets and Extranets.  Sub-topics listed here.

PRESENTATION CATEGORIES

The Technical Program includes a wide range of interesting and useful activities designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information. These include keynote and invited talks, full and short paper presentations, poster/demonstration sessions, tutorials, workshops, panels, and SIG discussions. 

PROCEEDINGS

Accepted papers will be published in the WebNet 2000 proceedings book, abstracts book, and CD-ROM. These publications will serve as major sources of information for the Web community, indicating the current state of the art, new trends and new opportunities.

BACKGROUND

The first WebNet conference was held in 1996 in San Francisco, WebNet 97 was held in Toronto, WebNet 98 in Orlando, Florida, and WebNet 99 was held in Honolulu, Hawaii.  WebNet 2000 will be the fifth in this series of internationally respected events.
