Please note that the conference cannot provide equipment for Poster/Demos, Corporate Demonstrations, or Roundtables.

HARDWARE:
PC Laptop with Pentium 4/2 Ghz Mhz processor. Windows XP Professional, 512 MB RAM, CD-ROM, two USB ports (2.0 USB), Speakers, XGA Data Projector - 2000 ANSI Lumen or greater, Projection Screen

SOFTWARE: Microsoft PowerPoint 2002, Internet Explorer 7, Adobe Reader. We try to maintain up to date plug-ins for Flash, Java and Real Audio. However it is the presenters responsibility to make sure the machine has the correct plug-ins if their application requires them. (see Session Set-UP, below, for information on when you can access the computer to set-up and test your application)

No audio-visual or technical equipment provided.  If you bring a wireless card and computer, you should have access to the Internet via the conference wireless network. Wireless access information.


GENERAL INFORMATION

You should considerbringing:

  • Your laptop

  • Power adapter for non-US equipment (or US equipment if in Europe).

Before each session hour,technical staff will connect all the presentation equipment for the next set ofpresentations. Please refrain from connecting or moving equipment as each roomis slated for particular equipment and usage.

All data projectors willconnect with your laptop, PC, or Mac using a standard DB25 (VGA) connector.

If you have questions orencounter difficulty when technical staff is not immediately available, go tothe conference registration desk. Staff can contact technical assistance foryou.

To review or modify yourpresentation on site, we recommend that you load software, double-check yourpresentation and make changes on the equipment you will be using during yourpresentation. The best times to access your presentation room is early morning,prior or during the keynote, or during lunch before the afternoon sessions.


POSTER/DEMONSTRATION INFORMATION

The following standardmaterials will be provided for Poster/Demo presentations only:

  • Approximately 6’ long table

  • two chairs

  • Approximately 4’ high x 8’ wide poster board

  • electricity source

The conferencedoes not provide equipment for Poster/Demos or SIG discussions.  If you need computers, or any other equipment you will need to bring your own orrent equipment. Bear in mind that overhead projectors and slides are not aworkable presentation style as the room is large, well-lit and there is no roomfor a screen. If you need other equipment, rental information is provided.Standard set-up time for all poster/demo and corporate demonstration sessions is 3:00 PM on the day of presentation.
