Requirements
1. Submissions are invited for the ED-MEDIA 2005 Student Panels
Dissertation Help Sessions (DHS). The DHS will provide an
opportunity for students at any stage in their graduate studies
(ie. Masters, EdD, or PhD level) to present their work to an
audience of peers and faculty. This will be a friendly and
constructive event designed to provide participants with
valuable feedback on their dissertation effort from leading
professors and a variety of peers.
The
submission should include:
• An abstract/summary of your research
• An outline of objectives;
• Research problem; (maximum 200 words)
• Stage of the research;
• Literature referenced; (a list of the most important
references)
• Methodology;
• Expected outcome;
• Targeted areas for which the student desires feedback or
advice.
A
searchable database of all presenters will be available in the
conference website in March. A number of experts in diverse
areas of the field attend ED-MEDIA every year, and chances are
that professors that have done previous research in your area of
interest will be attending this conference.
2. To be
eligible for the sessions the student must be a current graduate
student within an accredited institution worldwide.
3. The papers will be reviewed by a group of students and
faculty affiliated with AACE and will be accepted on the basis
of the completeness of the submission and the relevance to the
conference.
4. Students of accepted proposals must register and attend the
ED-MEDIA conference in order to participate in the Dissertation
Help Sessions.
Format
Each student will present and discuss her or his work – students
will be allocated a section of a room where they may present
their work to interested parties. Students should prepare a
brief PowerPoint presentation. We will make every effort to contact the
professors indicated in your submission so that they are made
aware of your presentation.
